The Easy Way Out

The easy way out is never the right way. It may be easier, smoother, faster and have less obstacles. It may be the "right way" for RIGHT now, and you may have inevitably taken it due to circumstances beyond your control. I get that, I really do. I have taken the easy road, and it is well - Easier. I know someone, love someone, someone who is dear to me and has been there my whole entire life for good times and bad. This person has taken the easy way out, a lot! Maybe too much, especially lately. I have tried to reason, yell, scream, talk to, give examples to, written things down, threatened, and in any and every way I know possible to help. I just don't know what to do, I have begun to wash my hands with the whole situation, but I can't let go of the person. I have prayed for help for this someone, and prayed for help for me to HELP this person and still I seem a bit lost. A bit cloudy and unclear in what path I should choose in regards to this situation. But you know what it is not MY path to choose and that may be the lesson in itself.
I know that I will always try to pick the RIGHT path, not the easiest.
